Amazon's Free Affiliate Program

When choosing affiliate programs, you must consider two factors.

How much does it cost to join? Does the company deliver?

I suspect everyone who reaches this page is familiar with Amazon.com and is probably their customer.

I wanted to join an affiliate program to create passive income to pay for my hosting service and possibly pay for advertising. An affiliate program is "passive" because once you set it up, you need not do any other work to keep it going.

Since my site depends on trust, I am doubly careful not to align myself with companies or organizations that fail to deliver quality products and services.

And since I buy all my books (and music) from Amazon, I feel comfortable with recommending them to visitors.

Amazon's affiliate program is free! You don't pay a nickel to join their program.

One of their best features is its widgets -- tools that let me create precisely the Amazon products I want my visitor to see.

The following widget shows my book recommendations for anyone considering an internet business. (There are three pages of books . Be sure to scroll through them).

My Favorites:

But I could also let Amazon select products for me as in the following example.

You can easily add or delete products and product categories from Amazon's "widgets." Once you determine the type of products you want shown on your web page, you simply copy the code just as you would an AdSense unit.
